Bobby in an old-fashioned, informal British English word for a policeman/woman.

Bobby was the nickname of Sir Robert Peel who organised the London police force. Although this term is old-fashioned it is still common use in England.

Eg: I asked a London bobby for help.


Bobby é um termo antigo e informal em Inglês Britânico usado para descrever um/a polícia.

Bobby era o apelido de Sir Robert Peel, o fundador da força policial Britância. Ainda que este termo seja antigo ainda é de uso frequente em Inglaterra.
