British English Words: The Tube

Post by SteelInferno on Wed Dec 03, 2014 1:03 am

The Tube is the informal British English name for the London Underground system. It is called so because the tunnels run through the city like tubes.

E.g. I am going to get the Tube to Camden Town.

-------

Ex: I am going to get the Tube (tube=metropolitano) to Camden Town.
