"Agony Aunt Chronicles" Empty "Agony Aunt Chronicles"

It is a very popular space in some newspapers and magazines. Its name may come from the fact that these chronicles are aimed to respond to readers problems with advice and help.

There is no equivalent idiomatic expression for Portuguese, however there is a translation for it. "Agony aunt chronicles" can be translated as "Consultório sentimental".

In Portugal there is a very popular "agony aunt chronicle" in a magazine called "Maria". It is called "Diário Maria" (Maria's diary), and it's about love and sexual problems.

These are the explanations according to The Free Dictionary, Collins Online Dictionary, Dicionário Inglês-Português Porto Editora Online.
