Origem do Mirandês

Here in Australia every Portuguese I know refers to the people of Vietnam as well as their language as "Vietnamês".

The other day someone told me that this world doesn't exist in the Portuguese vocabulary. Is this true? What the Portuguese word for "Vietnamese"(both language and people from that country).

Hi there,

I'm Unikoman and I live in Sydney for 20 years.

I'm not a translator, but as I have some relatives and friends who have some difficulties about the English language, I use to translate some articles from Australian newspapers and magazines so they can read them.

But my Portuguese skills are not as good as the English ones as I moved to Australia at a very young age, so I though maybe someone in this forum could help me on this.
